Gross/Fine Leak Preconditioning Systems
InterTest 1014-C4 Systems are available in many configurations including 6” & 9” diameter chambers.
Features
- Large Touchscreen: Provides interactive communication with the operator and fast, simple programming.
- Storage Memory: Enter up to 999 Gross or Fine Preconditioning programs which are easily selectable.
- View Status: The “Time of Completion” display tells you when the cycle will finish, and parts are ready to be removed for testing.
- The Scheduled Start Feature is utilized to begin a cycle during off hours so that the cycle ends during the next working shift so that parts are ready to be tested. This yields a 33% increase in productivity.
- Real Time Diagnostics continuously monitor cycles for compliance, and display error messages in plain English for quick, effective troubleshooting.
- Easily removable panels, strategically placed components and tough, flexible ParflexTM tubing permit easy access for maintenance and service.
- The Maintenance Tab gives maintenance personnel full manual control of all valves and pumps as an interactive plumbing diagram displays the flow of fluids and gases. The true values of vacuum, pressure and fluid sensors are included in this maintenance screen.
- Highly reliable solid-state relays control all systems valves and feature
individual fuses and indicators which indicate when they are “on”.
Inputs and outputs may easily be monitored with a voltmeter at an
accessible terminal block. - The Calibration Tab, password protected, allows the calibration technician to verify or adjust the vacuum and pressure displays to a traceable standard without turning a screwdriver.
- Exceeds Mil-STD-883 and High Rel Specifications
- Designed to meet or exceed Mil-STD-883, Method 1014, Mil-STD 750 Method 1071, Mil-STD 202, Method 112 and other High-Rel commercial equivalents for Gross and Fine Leak Test conditions.
- Password Protection prevents inadvertent adjustments of the calibration setting of critical vacuum and pressure displays.
- Power Failure Recovery stores all values in battery-backed memory so that in the event of a power failure, when power is restored and all the cycle parameters are verified to ensure compliance, the cycle continues, uninterrupted.
- For helium “Fine” preconditioning, the Vent Hold mode maintains the helium pressure setpoint for up to an additional hour allowing operators convenient flexibility between preconditioning and helium leak testing.
- For Fluorocarbon “Gross” preconditioning, the Drain Hold mode maintains the chamber fluid level at the end of a cycle ensuring that all devices remain, indefinitely, immersed until the operator chooses to drain the chamber and test the devices.
- The process chambers are independently programmable and function separately to allow flexibility for balancing workloads. It’s two chambers for the price of 1-1/2!
- In the Ready mode, fluid detected at the bottom of a chamber is automatically drained and returned to storage. This allows an operator to empty remaining fluid from buckets into the chamber, thus reducing handling losses.
- The use of redundant vacuum valves hastens the evacuation process and reduces cycle time.
- During the vent sequence, a 3-way vent valve efficiently routes fluorocarbon fluid laced nitrogen through the storage tank for recondensing and routes helium directly to atmosphere disallowing any fluorocarbon fluid evaporation.
- The system constantly monitors for unwanted fluid presence during vacuum cycles. If detected, the cycle is aborted and the operator is notified, unlike competitors’ systems.
- The use of an Oil-Free Scroll Type Vacuum Pump eliminates oil changes, but more importantly, SAVES on costly fluorocarbon fluid loss. Any fluid entering the vacuum pump in the form of a vapor is exhausted by the pump and captured in the fluid reservoir trap. This fluid is 100% contaminate free and may be reclaimed and reused!
