Centrifuge System

InterTest’s 2001-E Centrifuge represents the latest advancements in safety, performance and ergonomic design for constant acceleration testing of microelectronic components. The 2001-E meets or exceeds MIL-STD-883, Method 2001, Condition A-E; MIL-STD-750, and other HIGH-REL requirements.

Features

User-Friendly Design

Exceptionally quiet operation
Unique design keeps operating noise levels at less than 70 db.

Easy-open chamber
Non-vacuum design eliminates the need for bulky chamber door.

Easy to Operate and Maintain

Built-in Diagnostics
Continuously self-monitored system displays error messages for 12 condition parameters.

Low Maintenance Design
Direct drive eliminated the need for belt replacement and increases spindle and bearing life.

Fixture Compatibility
Full compatibility with most standard industry fixtures eliminates the need for large fixture inventories.

Easy Speed Verification
Easy access external jacks ensure conformance to speed parameters.

High Reliability and Integrity

Exceeds MIL-STD-883 and High-Rel Specifications
The system is designed to meet or exceed MIL-STD-883, Method 2001, Conditions A through E, MIL-STD-750, Method 2006, and other HIGH-REL commercial equivalents.

Built-in Refrigeration System
Refrigeration system with full, 5-year warranty eliminates vacuum related failures. System provides highly accurate temperature control and cool operation for maximum bearing life.

Patented Direct-Drive
Provides precise spin-speed control while eliminating stress and maintenance problems associated with belt-drive systems

Safe Operation

Safety-Plus Chamber Design
The Safety-Plus chamber is designed with a stainless steel chamber wall, cushioned by a layer of insulating foam and surrounded by a full 1/2″ thick carbon steel containment ring. The containment ring rotates to absorb energy in the event that load separation penetrates the first two protective layers, thereby keeping the centrifuge in place on the floor. In addition, the fully interlocked door is constructed with over 1 1/2″ of lightweight, energy absorbing material backed by 1/4″ carbon steel to safely contain any minimal upward forces that might occur during load separation.

Out-of-Balance Protection
Advanced, non-contact piezoelectric crystal immediately detects when out-ofbalance condition exists.

Interlocks and Alarms
Includes door closure interlocks and alarms for overspeed, overtemp, out-of-balance, entry error and other faults.
