Safety-Plus
Chamber Design
The Safety-Plus chamber is designed with a stainless steel
chamber wall, cushioned by a layer of insulating foam and
surrounded by a full 1/2" thick carbon steel containment ring.
The containment ring rotates to absorb energy in the event
that load separation penetrates the first two protective layers,
thereby keeping the centrifuge in place on the floor. In addition,
the fully interlocked door is constructed with over 1 1/2"
of lightweight, energy absorbing material backed by 1/4" carbon
steel to safely contain any minimal upward forces that might
occur during load separation.
Out-of-Balance
Protection
Advanced, non-contact piezoelectric crystal immediately detects
when out-of-balance condition exists.
Interlocks
and Alarms
Includes door closure interlocks and alarms for overspeed,
overtemp, out-of-balance, entry error and other faults.
